Press Release

Last updated : 15 January 2002 By BIAS
The meeting will have three main aims as follows:

1.. To increase awareness of the plight of Brentford Football Club in terms of its perilous financial position.
2.. To discuss potential solutions to the situation as it stands today.
3.. To demonstrate opposition to the current proposals put forward by Brentford Owner Mr Ron Noades, to vacate Griffin Park without a new facility being in place.

The meeting will be addressed by representatives of both BIAS and Bees United
(The Brentford Supporters trust). In addition speakers from other clubs facing a
similar situation have been asked to contribute to the meeting, as have people with specialist knowledge of company and financial law.

BIAS chair Pete Johnston said

"Some of our members have asked us to ensure that all supporters are better informed as to the current state the club finds itself in. That and the need to find a supporter based solution to our problems has left us with little choice but to call this emergency meeting."

Places at the meeting are limited and persons wishing to attend are asked to reserve tickets in advance by calling the BIAS hotline on 0790 4375051 or by sending an e-mail to neil@bias.org.uk.
