Two differing results this week have given the fans a lot to think about this week. In the win over Tranmere we didn't play the prettiest football but it was effective, we shut them down and played to our strengths, the 1-0 in one of our games in hand was vital and shot us up to fourth and we looked fairly comfortable and sure to make the play offs, given the dodgy spell we've been through recently though it was hardly surprising to see us go 1-0 down after 5 minutes yesterday.
Both the result and the performance were the last thing that we needed at this vital time of the season, luckily we have a slight margin of error due to our other game in hand but with the top two to play in our last 5 games that is a must win as are the rest of our home games.
If we get at least a point from every game, it will at least bring back a bit of consistency to the team which we lack at the moment, however we need to start a little run of form up again before the play offs and we need to give ourselves the best possible chance by finishing as high as we can.
However if during our last few games like we did do during the first half yesterday, then despite all the hard work which we have put in over the last 9 months then we don't deserve to go up because we looked nowhere near good enough to compete in the Championship, it's fair enough getting there but sustaining our position in that league with performance's like yesterday afternoons would be difficult, nay impossible.
