Having died in hospital yesterday after noon at the age of 59, football paid it's respects today with a minutes silence and appreciation of the legacy the Irishman left behind,
"It is a sad day" said Allen,
"I'm sure everyone at Brentford Football Club, the staff, the players and of course the supporters will be saddened by the news."
Allen insisted,
"Prehaps it will be better to smile and re-live some of those magical moments that he has given us"
