After seeming throughly satisfied with the victory yesteday it wasn't long before Allen was answering questions about the game left right and centre.
First off he repeated his thoughts of delight in reaching round three,
"It was great to get through to the next round. In the cup you don't get a second chance"
The victory was pleasing for the boss but he believes his team can still improve,
"Of course we will study the video, I feel there are things we can work on. Not to give too much away but I believe we can create more openings and improve the quality of our play in posesstion. It would be foolish of us to think that it could all simply fall into place for us but listening, learning and wanting to improve are crucial to the development of Brentford FC."
The manager then spoke about the fans and their excellent efforts last night,
"I've heard murmerings that it was a disapointing attendance last night. Not in my book. With the game live on TV, our third home game of the week, just before Christmas, blinkin hell, who can afford three matches, plus look after a family for Christmas, presents, trees etc..."
"There were certainly no complaints or discontent from me. the 3,000 that were there really got behind the team, especially in the 2nd half when the players upped the ante."
Disapointingly the boss had to report on Darren Pratley's injury,
"Pratley has been assessed by our medical team and will now be reviewed by the people at Fulham. Unfortunately he's going to be out for a while, possibly a month and his loan deal ends in January, so conversations with his club will have to be ongoing."
