Despite being disapointed with the result last night, there seemed no doubt in the Brentford managers mind that his players can return from their latest setback in flying form.
Going down 3-2 to Gillingham last night meant that Brentford blew the chance to go level with Southend if they won their other game in hand. With the shrimpers form of late it seems as if Allen's men will be in a battle for second, after failing to put distance between themselves and Huddersfield.
The boss however said,
"They are very conscientious and have shown great pride in their work throughout the season"
Asked whether he would be able to lift his side ahead of the next game against Doncaster he said,
"I am not sure it is my job to lift them for the next game."
"It is their job to lift me, lift the staff and lift the supporters because they are the ones who go over the white line and have to do the job."
