One paticular player he singled out was the returning Eddie Hutchinson who made his return in Saturday's game and is expected to feature again on Boxing Day against Swansea.
"Eddie hasn't started for weeks, but he played very well at Tranmere. He is an important player for us" commented the boss.
The 23 year old has been missing since October with a virus but was back to his best at the weekend.
"Even when we lose players, we stay strong, because the people who come in are good players and have an extra edge about them."
