The general vibe around Griffin Park yesterday was that 5-0 didn't flatter Brentford one bit.
An excellent performance all round saw the Bees dish out heavy punishment to a Walsall side who looked shellshocked throughout and had no answer to a rejuvinated Bees who had struggled in their last couple of home games.
The manager spoke this morning saying,
"That was far better than beating Sunderland in the Cup"
After the sale of DJ Campbell and the amazing high of beating the premiership side last week was expected to suck the sind out of the brentford sails however Allen always felt confident his side could be sucessful,
"The players lifted themselves in training and this is a great end to quite a difficult week."
"The players performance was absolutely superb and it showed that they are now getting far better at coping with the pressure and the publicity that success brings"
