Although he was clearly disapointed with the weekend's 3-3 draw with Bradford at Valley Parade especially after the Bees were 3-1, Allen was in a good mood when he spoke to the press today.
Most of Allen's message was circulated round his delight at getting another crack at the FA Cup.
Having reached the 6th round last season The Bees will hope that they can overcome Stockport the 92nd placed team in England this weekend despite last weekends collapse.
Ahead of the game Allen told us that Scott Fitzgerald returned from a loan spell at Oxford and has been placed in the squad for the Stockport game.
Clearing up other injury concerns Allen said,
"Jay Tabb has got the all clear on an x-ray which is good news but he has a nasty cut and bone brusing which makes it impossible to say how long he's going to be out for"
"Andy Frampton will hopefully return to training tomorrow as will O'Connor, Brooker and Gayle"
Longer term Allen reported on Alex Rhodes, Darren Pratley and Oli Skulason, the latter he said,
"Oli is pregressing very well but he still has a long re-hab ahead of him, it'll be February at best before we get him back"
"I'm still waiting for reports to come through on Darren's injury from Fulham and Alex still has to under-go one more injection before reviewing his knee problem."
