Bristol City - The Robins completed a pre season coup signing last season's top scorer for Sunderland Marcus Stewart on a two year transfer deal, the player revealed his delight after signing a contract with his boyhood club.

Colchester United - Gavin Johnson is leaving Colchester United for League Two side Boston, reports BBC Essex. The player who featured in more games last season than any other player in the U's squad but has been released and joined Boston on a free.

Bradford City - The bantams are looking to sign ex-player Danny Cadamarteri, who left the club when they dropped out of the Premiership. Cadamateri, 25 was transfer listed by Sheffield United and Bradfors's manager Colin Todd has revealed his interest.

Barnsley - The club are fighting it out with Bradford City to sign Michael Chopra from Newcastle United. He was on loan at Barnsley last season but boss Andy Richie believes that Chopra will probably feature for the Geordies in the Intertoto Cup and may then become available and they may attempt to sign him then.

Hull City - City have failed to reach a deal with Conference club Dagenham for striker Chris Moore. The Tigers have now pulled out of a deal to sign the player who scored 21 goals last season.

Doncaster United - The Dons have completed a double capture of two Danish goalkeepers as the look to improve on 2005's mid table finish. Jan Budtz who joined from FC Norfsjaelland and Tonny Nielsen who is rated as a good prospect for potential international football is 6'7 and signed from Fremard Amager.
