Refusing to get too excited about the possibility of a giant killing act against Sunderland in three weeks time, Martin Allen began working on his transfer window mission to give some back up to his Brentford squad.
As usual Allen himself has mentioned no targets but it is believed he would like to strengthen with possible one more loan deal and possible a striker if any are available for a suitable price or available on a free transfer.
However conducting the windows first business Allen secured the services of midfielder Darren Pratley for the rest of the season. The player was injured in their win over Oldham in December and Allen had wished to keep the player onloan for longer, today getting his wish as the Craven Cottage player will see out the season at Griffin Park.
The manager said,
"This is a significant move for the football club. He will continue his rehabilitation at Fulham and should return to us in the next couple of weeks"
Off the field Allen also announced the clubs new physio will be Johnathan Sandling who will start work on thursday alongside Damien Doyle. He replaces Miatt Hirons who will be joining up with Premiership bound Reading and Allen thanked his friend and collegue for his hard work,
"It must be said he has done a fantastic job since i arrived here. It wasn't easy for him with so many new members of staff and with many leaving, people coming in with new ideas and new ways of doing things. It was only a matter of time, literally a couple of weeks before he was promoted for first team level."
