Not probably at the top of a Brentford fans priority at the moment but the FA have announced today that the new 600 million pound project that is Wembeley stadium will not be ready intime to hold the end of season show pieces.

Currently in their, Brentford have a chance to make promotion a reality this season after being knocked out of the FA Cup and given the one goal to chase. However the FA informed teams today that the multi-million pound structure will not be ready to hold the FA Cup Final or playoff competitions.

Instead, the venue since Wembley's destruction in 2000, will get one last hurrah beginning with the FA Cup and ending with the Championship playoff finals.

Brentford last year failed to reach the final of the League One playoffs but with their current form and three games in hand on leaders Southend the Bees will be hoping that Cardiff is a minimum requirement.
