Chester
City FC have been ordered to sell some of their players after they breached their approved salary cap for the coming season.

Chester have been told by the Football League that they will not be able to sign any new players until they reduce their wage bill.

Chairman Stephen Vaughan said they had already listed Lee Steele and Sean Hessey to help reduce the wage bill.

"We've already placed Lee and Sean on the transfer list," chairman Stephen Vaughan told the club website.

"However, at this present time we haven't had any firm offers for them.

"We now also have a situation with Glenn Cronin, who missed virtually all of last season with a broken metatarsal and now unfortunately has suffered a similar injury which is expected to sideline him for the majority of this campaign.

"It could well be that we have to discuss this situation with the player, medical advisors and the PFA."
