The 1-0 win may not have exactly been most convincing of results or performances but Allen said that all that matters was that his team won,
"It hasnt been an easy week after our last performance and it was important that we got a back of confidence back into the team."
Allen continued,
"It was a very tough game. We started brightly and had few chances and that was a mirror image of how things have been going for us in the last few weeks."
The boss was also pleased with his teams strikers after a week in which they were criticised by fans and pundits,
"We've been creating chances and not taking them and we needed the boost of the penalty"
