Afte their sucessful run in the youth cup, defeating Arsenal before bowing out to Newcastle on Monday he is hoping that his scholars can provide the impitus of a fresh new signings after the recent financial problems hinderd his ability to bring in players during the January transfer window.
Charlie Ide has been called upon by his manager ahead of tomorrows game, a 17 year old with promise who Allen believes is certainyl good enough to be among the travelling party.
On the sour side the boss did report today that two other youth players looking to make the grade have been released after long considerations.
George Moleski and Ryan Watts were told that they would not be offered professional contracts next season, the boss said,
"Both deals have been vetoed by the powers that be. They have been a credit to this club and I believe they both have the ability to bounce back"
On a positive note he said,
"Ive invited them back for pre season training and I will be constantly monitoring their situation. Because of what's happened I will try my hardest to get them help with immediate effect."
