Dale also wished Brentford and his side Wednesday the best of luck before the game at Griffin Park on Monday. How did Dale see the first leg and what were his thoughts on the second leg.
1. What was your verdict of the game at Hillsborough?
A great result for us but no-one's getting too carried away at this stage, we're only half way there. To throw in a great football cliche it was a game of two halves. We were on top for most of the first half, and unlucky to only go in at the break one up. But second half you lot came back at us a bit, and we had to roll up our sleeves to hold the lead.
2. What were the highlights and the lowlights of the game on Thursday?
JP (McGovern)'s goal and all-round performance. The guys a legend in the making. The crowd was magnificent too. Apparently only 28,000 there but most agree it looked well over 30,000. It's great for the fans to finally have something to shout about, we've had a tough run since dropping out of the Premier League in 1999.
I suppose the only disappointment was JP's effort that came back off the bar. At 2-0 it would've been backs against the wall stuff for you lot.
3. Which Wednesday and Brentford players impressed you?
JP McGovern and David Lucas in goal. This was the guy's first appearance after a length injury spell, and you couldn't ask for much more from him.
4. What sort of atmosphere will we expect in the second leg?
Our away support is probably one of the best in the country. Tickets for away games have been had to come across recently, and this game is no exception.
6. What's Brentford's game plan in the second leg?
Well I guess the first leg plan of playing a more defensive game and trying to turn our crowd against us didn't work, so now you'll have to play a more attacking game.
There's no point in us sitting back and trying to defend for 90 minutes - I have a feeling there could be 3 or 4 goals in this one.
Thanks very much to Dale who's been a great interviewe during the past week.
