Women's Cup Final - The womens cup final which took place at Griffin Park at lunch time ended in a 3-0 Arsenal victory lining them up for a domestic double. Goal scorers were Faye White (2), Julie Fleeting, the scoreline is an exact replica of last seasons cup final between the same two teams.

Brentford in Dubai - As a big thank you to his team and to prepare the team for an assault on the league one table, bees boss Martin Allen has organised a trip to Dubai with 5 star hotels and all the trimmings. The players left straight after their game with Colchester last night and will return in 3 days time, hopefully refeshed and ready to take on Doncaster Rovers at the weekend. From teamtalk.com Allen said,

"The lads will have the chance to relax, take in the sunshine and play some golf. We are going to a five-star hotel because they are a five-star team.

They have had a lot of mental and physical exertion recently and need to have some time off to recharge their batteries before we mount our final assault on the league."

Harold 'nets' for the Mariners - On Loan Brentford striker Matt Harold scored his his debut for Grimsby town in a 2-1 win over Oxford. The player who exited on friday on a one month loan scored a header 40 seconds after half time to equalise Oxfords opener.

Goal of the Month - Isaiah Rankin's wonder goal was featured in Match of the day's goal of the month competition. The screamer vs Southampton which saw Rankin run from 40 yards before drilling a low shot in the corner is competing against 9 other premiership goals with the result being announced next saturday.

Transfer News - Martin Allen spoke to the Brentford official website last week about his transfer targets last week. After the loaning of Scott Fitzgerald from Watford, the gaffer without mentioning names highlighted his sides need for attacking players (considering our -3 goal difference this i hardly supprising). He hinted that these players could be from the championship and mostly be brought in on loan deals to help with the play off push. He is however keeping his cards close to his chest.
