The Bees were beaten 2-0 by Bournmouth today
This afternoon's game with Bournmouth was the last thing that manager Martin Allen had expected, in cheery mood yesterday the boss spoke of his hopes of joy at 5pm today instead Bournmouth escaped with the points and Brentford were left to ponder their first defeat in six League games. As usual we hear from all the people involved.

What the manager said?

A disapointed Martin Allen made his way into the press room after the game, speaking openly the boss said,

"Today's performance simply wasn't good enough but my team are aware of that and ive pulled no punches in telling them that. The first 15 minutes was ok but from then on we didn't look like scoring"

The boss said,

"We created very few chances against a good Bournmouth side but I still felt that if we'd have turned up the game was there to be won".

What the players said?

Jay Tabb spoke of the players disapointment at full time,

"Apart from the first quarter of the game we didn't look comfortable. As soon as their first goal went in I think heads went down and we never recovered from that. Their second goal was a killer."

"We started a little better in the second half but we still didnt attack with any conviction or promise."

Marcus Gayle echoed his thoughts,

"The boys are disapointed yes but we're not going to beat ourselves up abut one bad performance, we've got to look to the next game and try and pay back the fans loyalty for sticking with us over the last few games"

What the opposition said?

Manager Sean O'Driscoll told the official website,

"We're delighted with the win. We've plugged away, the lads have a never say die attitude and they've worked for each other all game. We've controlled the game doing the things we're good at and to be honest it was a comfortable win in the end."

What the fans said?

Brentford follower James Chisholm said,

"Brentford looked scared today, their one dimensional tactics were easy to sus out and because of their they lacked any kind of threat attackingly. I think it was a little bit of Bournmouth's brilliance and Brentford's appaulingness that led to the result"

Bournmouth fans Chris Keaton told me,

"I'm so pleased with teh points, I expected to come here and be on the end of a beating but in the end it looked easy. Brentford's play was too rigid and towards the end we probably could have added to our lead."
