Barnsley – Barnsley lost their 100% record with a 2-1 loss against Scunthorpe having been ahead. The rut continued as they lost 1-0 to Colchester.
Blackpool – Blackpool improved considerably to draw 2-2 against Chesterfield despite being behind twice.
Bournemouth – Bournemouth managed to earn a draw against Hartlepool after going behind. They then beat Bristol City 2-0 to gain a comfortable win.
Bradford – Bradford lost their first league game against Scunthorpe 2-0 but came back against MK Dons by winning 2-0.
Brentford – Brentford beat Chesterfield 3-1 in the Wednesday clash to go top of the embryonic league before Saturday’s results. They play Port Vale tomorrow.
Bristol City – They have suffered a nightmare start to the season after conceding a late goal against Huddersfield and then lost 2-0 at Bournemouth leaving them bottom of the embryonic league.
Chesterfield – Having been top of the League on the first day they then lost to Brentford 3-1. Their week got worse when they lost to Rotherham by one goal to nil.
Colchester – After losing their second game to Swansea 2-1 left them with 0 points. They regrouped and beat Barnsley 1-0.
Doncaster Rovers – Doncaster still are looking for a win having drawn 1-1 with MK Dons and then they lost 1-0 to last years beaten play-off finalists Hartlepool.
Gillingham – Gillingham had a very interesting 0-0 draw with Port Vale and then conceded a late goal to be held to a draw against Scunthorpe.
Hartlepool – Hartlepool were held to a 1-1 draw at Bournemouth and then managed to get their first win of the new campaign against Doncaster.
Huddersfield – The Terriers have had a very good week. They beat Bristol City with a late goal and they trounced 9 man Swansea 3-1.
Milton Keynes Dons – MK are left without a win after a 1-1 draw at Doncaster and then losing 2-0 away at Bradford playing with 10 men.
Nottm Forest – The Title Favourites have had an awful week as well. A 3-2 loss to Walsall and then a 2-1 loss to Swindon capped off what has been a very bad week.
Oldham – Oldham had a very mixed week. Having beaten Swindon 3-2 they were then thumped by Tranmere by 4 goals to nil.
Port Vale – Port Vale enjoyed a 0-0 draw with Gillingham.
Rotherham – Rotherham got their first point of the season with a 0-0 draw at Yeovil and gained their first win of the campaign with a 1-0 win over Chesterfield
Scunthorpe – Scunthorpe got their first win of the season with a 2-1 win over Barnsley. They then got a late equaliser to give them the share of the points against Gillingham.
Southend – Southend managed to pick up their first win of the season against Bradford courtesy of a 2-0 victory. They gained a 2-2 draw against Walsall.
Swansea – Swansea won their second game of the new season with a 2-1 win over Colchester. They suffered their first reverse with a 3-1 loss to Huddersfield where they finished with 9 men.
Swindon – Swindon’s season got worse when they suffered a 3-2 defeat against Oldham. They picked themselves up to beat Nottingham Forest 2-1.
Tranmere – Tranmere twice led but had to settle for a point against Blackpool. They then thumped Oldham 4-0.
Walsall – Walsall are now top of the table by a point after a 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest but had to be content with a point against Southend.
Yeovil – They managed to get their first points of the season with 2 draws against Rotherham (0-0) and Blackpool (1-1).
