Allen linked with the Lions

This week the papers have been filling with speculation involving many of the managerial vacancies in football, one which refuses to go away is reports linking Martin Allen with a move away from Griffin Park joining Millwall.

One newspaper has even reported that Allen will be instated as the 'New Den' boss within the next 24 hours after Dennis Wise quit on the last day of the Championship season.

Although Allen and the Brentford board have often dismissed rumours it is impossible to deny that the up and coming ex-West Ham favourite fits the Millwall boards bill perfectly.

The Lions hope to appoint a new manager as soon as possible and Martin Allen's record which saw the Bees reach the playoffs this season seems likely to make him the favourite.
