No sooner had Lennie Lawrence left the club were the papers putting the 'enthusiastic' Brentford manager with the passionate supporters of Cardiff.
Chairman Sam Hamman came out today saying,
"We need to reignite passion within our club and we will be looking for a manager who inspires this"
After a sucessful season with the Bees Allen has been praised for the atmosphere inside Griffin Park and press reports believe that Allen could be the man to spark the Welsh crowd inside Ninian Park.
Although Brentford have yet to comment on reports linking Allen with the vacant managers job Allen seems to be getting on with his day to day work after releasing 6 players from his squad. Meanwhile Millwall who have recently been linked with Allen have denied speculation that they have held talks with Allen and are preparing him as Dennis Wise's sucessor,
"However, I would repeat that much of what has been seen in the papers is the result of other people's interests and not that of Millwall." said the clubs chairman Jeff Burnige who was reportedly courting Allen to help his team reach the Premiership within the newly structured club.
No doubt the rumours will continue over the week.
