Andy Scott Benefit Game News

In the official website today the Chairman of the Andy Scott benefit launch fund wrote an article explaining to the fans details of the charity and some of the reasons why the game between Brentford and Orient on 20th July will be taking place.

The former Brentford player retired during this season after being diagnosed with the heart condition which killed Marc Vivien Foe in 2002, the two clubs organised a game in his honour and now the fund which all reciepts from the game will go to has been got an official launch.

The chairman write,

'I am delighted to announce the launch of the Andy Scott Benefit Fund'

'The objective of the fund is to raise small amounts of money for Andy and his family and also for small charities called Cardio Risk in the Yound (
www.c-r-y-org.uk). I am also delighted to annouce that I have been enjoyed by two well known people in the Brentford community Nigel Brooks and Paul Stedman'

'There is now a website available to view (
www.andyscottbenefit.org.uk). The site includes a guest book that we would to see people leaving messages and donations on the site following the links. It is also hoped to be possible soon that people can purchase tickets for the game within the next couple of days.
