Delboy should be back in contention to challenge for a place in the starting lineup this season after a long term injury. He must be one of the longest serving players at the club after David Webb signed him back in 1997/1998 from local side Hampton. Dellboy has never been a regular but when he gets the chance, his strong direct runs causes the opposition all sorts of problems. He starred brilliantly during the Championship season at Rotherham working with Lloyd Owusu, when he caused there defence all sorts of problems. Brentford fans hope his injury won't have affected his footballing ability and that he and Lloydy will click once again. Trandy How many more long term injuries did we have last year? No sooner had he taken his chance and become a crowd favourite then he goes and puts himself out for the majority of the season. I'm certainly looking forward to him returning to fitness and putting pressure on the front lads. Still not sure if effort alone is good enough though! The jury is still out! Richard Hester |
