After the game we managed to grab a few words with the people involved with the game.
What the manager said?
Martin Allen was happy about gaining a point at Barnsley and was pleased with the way his team battled,
"I thought we did well to get a point, yet again we came from benhind to gain a good point."
"Even though I attempted to come out of the game with three points, it's just another addition to our total and we've held our position"
The boss was paticularily pleased with the performance of his defense,
"They had a lot of pressure upon them in the second half but by hook or by crook we held on and I hope this give them confidence going into Gillingham on Monday"
What the players said?
The players seemed pleased with their performance, unused sub Scott Fitzgerald said,
"I think the lads held on well, it was a difficult task for us to get anything from this game but we did it"
"Good sides always scrap and scrap until they get points and we had to change our style a little and dig in to make sure we picked up something"
Marcus Gayle echoed the thoughts of Fitzgerald,
"Im pleased a group of fans could see us perform today, ok so we didnt win the game and it could be said that we were slightly fortunate to pick up a point but good sides sometimes get more than they deserve"
"I think our start to the season has proved that the summer hasn't changed anything and we can definately challenge again this season"
What the fans said?
Bees fan Thomas Moore was pleased the Bees picked up a point today commenting,
"I think we might have been slightly fortunate to get a point but at least our away form seems to be improving"
Barnsley fan Keith said,
"Brentford are a good little side, I can see why they don't lose many games, if our finishing wasnt so woeful I think you would have lost here today"
"We had the majority of the posession but if we hadnt given away the goal so sloppily I think we would have added to our score"
