Scott Fitzgerald was in angry mood yesterday when speaking to the press regarding his sides 1-0 defeat to Rotherham at Griffin Park.

The result allowed the Yorkshire strugglers to gain ground on the Bees as the relegation battle at the foot of League One continues to rumble on.

Brentford's manager said,

"We were second to everything all over the field and if you don't show quality and battling spirit, you are in trouble - and we are in trouble."

The manager added,

"We have players here who have shown commitment and passion but they looked like they bottled it really"

"This is a massive disappointment and there is no explanation for it. We had an experienced side out and they had a bunch of kids but, man for man, they were better than us."
