Undetered by his clubs continued losing run yesterday, Brentford chairman Greg Dyke had a reassuring method for supporters this morning about the safety and security of the clubs financial future.

In recent weeks, the clubs supporters have become incresingly dissillusioned with life at Griffin Park and many of them have called for Dyke to resign because of growing unrest about financial problems.

The lifelong bees fan came out to the defense of the clubs financial position and admitted that despite no FA Cup run this season the club are secure regarding money matters,

"At the beginning of the season, we said we had budgeted to overspend and we either had to have some cup runs or sell some players and luckily, we sold some players in the summer." he told the Ealing Gazette.

"That has meant we are financially secure for this season. The gates aren't what we want but they are down everywhere in the Football League."
