Millwall bound Sammy Igoe is set to become another player who has slipped Martin Allen's transfer net as he looks to replace one of the eight players who has left the Bees over the summer.

The boss had believed that he could capture Igoe on a two year deal after he rejected a two year deal from Swindon Town, but despite the club offering increased wages Igoe has decided to move to teh Championship to prove himself.

Allen had previously admitted an interest in the player he worked with at Swindon but admitted,

"Sammy is just another player we've lost out on because of the interest of other clubs, a small club like Brentford find it difficult to compete with clubs of Millwall's calibre"

The boss had himself been linked with the Lions and now Igoe looks set to sign a one year deal for Steve Claridge who took over last week.

As far as future transfer's go Martin Allen said,

"There's no one specific I've targeted but I would like to bolster my squad, as who knows how injuries will affect our team."
