As a midfield regular during his time at Brentford, Darren Pratley impressed many people with his performances, quality touches and hard work. When his loan deal came to an end at the end of the season, then manager Martin Allen confirmed that the club would be doing everything that they could to resign him next season.

However with Allen gone and cash offers coming in for Pratley it looks as if his club Fulham are ready to let him go, to League rivals Swansea.

It was believed that before he joined Brentford, Pratley had a move to the Welsh side blocked as Fulham were only looking to release him on loan. The midfielder will now travel to the Swans training ground to discuss a move to the League One club,

"We'd like to sign him on a permanent basis. He's the type of athletic player with good technique that would improve our central midfield" said Swans manager Kenny Jackett.

It was believed that Brentford were interested in tieing up his signature for another year on loan but were also looking to bring him in on a permanent basis but failed due to the circumstances surrounding their transfer funds and budget for this season.

Meanwhile another potential bees transfer target Jamie Cureton has agreed a deal to transfer from Swindon to Colchester, this after he handed in a transfer request to the Robins.

The 34-year old was a player Martin Allen had looked at however after promotion and with the Bees lacking money for transfers and wages he has made his move to the U's.
