Brentford strikers Carl Cort and Charlie MacDonald face late fitness checks ahead of the trip to Carlisle. Cort has been carrying a knock to his Achilles and MacDonald is feeling a groin problem but the Bees are hopeful both will travel. Boss Andy Scott need not take any risks with the duo, however, having boosted his attacking options with the signings of Gary Alexander from Millwall and Brighton's Nicky Forster. Alexander and Forster could make immediate debuts while winger Myles Weston, who scored twice as Brentford won the corresponding fixture 3-1 on the opening day of last season, provides another option in attack. Scott has brought in nine new faces in all with Michael Spillane and David McCracken among those likely to start.
