Bennett's deal at Griffin Park does not end until the summer of 2011, but with just 16 appearances to his name this season, a permanent switch could be on the cards.
He told the Hounslow Chronicle: "I haven't been told I have no future at Brentford and, as it stands, I will be going back after a month. But even a week is a long time in football, so who knows.
"I just want to get back out onto the pitch and put in the kind of performances that I know I can."
