Yesterday Brentford FC's players and Martin Allen must have been thinking that their luck at home would never change. After a disasterous defeat at home to Bournmouth three weeks ago the Bees were expected to pick up three points at home yesterday to Oldham.

However all didn't go to plan and at 3-1 down the fans would have been forgiven for leaving Griffin Park early, they did not however and the players repaid them with a quickfire comeback to draw 3-3.

What the manager said?

Understandably dissapointed that his side didnt claim the victory Allen praised his players spirit under pressure,

"We played some good football and created a lot of chances. They were sloppy goals for us to concede. Coming back from 3-1 down took some doing, they could have folded but they carried on going"

Also praising the supporters Allen said,

"They were fantastic, the twelth man I've been asking for all year, even at 3-1 down they accept and respect how hard our players were trying, as I do."

The boss was understandably pleased but noticed a disapointing trend in the sides play which he mentioned needs to be worked on,

"We've done that a few times, started well but then gone behind. We carried on with the right attitude and it was a real test or our self belief"

What the players said?

Man of the Match Darren Pratley commeted,

"It feels like a win even though we only got three points, the come back was phoenominal but we shouldn't have let it get to that"

Commenting on the crowd Pratley and Marcus Gayle both said,

"Credit goes to them. They've spurred us on and they were our inspiration today, if the point was dedicated to anyone it was to them for their excellent support."

On the crowd Stuart Nelson also said,

"I think they must have sucked the second and third goals in because at 3-1 down they would have been forgiven for leaving and would have been not out of order if they'd have booed us. But that's not what we expect here at Brentford, each and every home fan wants us to do well and they appreciate our efforts which is good to know"

What the fans said?

Ashley Hall, a watching Brentford fan said,

"I appreciated the style of the game which both teams played today. I think that the game could have gone either way, but the come back by Brentord was superb"

Steve Jenkins a disapointed Oldham fan told us,

"I think this shows why we are in the position we are in the League. At 3-1 we looked to be crusing and we switched off, that shouldn't happen and I'm gutted as a win today would have been reward for a hard fought performance."
