The FA Cup once more provided an excellent oppertunity for Brentford to show themselves worthy as they were drawn with Premiership Charlton Athletic in the 1:30pm draw.

Speaking prior to the event Allen said,

"My mind is focussed on Walsall, there's nobody I paticularily want and nobody i'd especially like to avoid."

After Brentford were paired with Chalrton the manager was very happy with his chance to once again play underdogs but admitted that Brentford face a tough challenge,

"Mr Curbishley up at Charlton has done a great job with his team and it will be a difficult tie."

"Obviously they'll be the favourites but it's eleven vs eleven on the day and who knows"

Speaking to his former employees Greg Dyke was delighted with the way the draw turned out,

"I'd rather have been away at Old Trafford but it's a good draw - we could even win that," he said.

"We'll get a lot of our fans there so it should be a good game.

"It's worth a lot of money, given that we're in a lot of debt and it's a good draw for us."

Charlton manager Alan Curbishley is yet to comment on the tie but after beating off the challenge of Leyton Orient they are expected to be well upto the challenge.
