The Gillette factory on the corner of the Great West Road to the West of Brentford is being lined up as a potential home of the Bees if their first choice venue is rejected by council officials.
Chairman Eddie Rogers told the Richmond and Twickenham Times the club were seriously considering the alternative location,
"If there's proof that the Gillette site could be made to work financially we would be delighted to explore the potential to build te stadium there" he said.
The factory site is 11 acres which is four more than the Lionel Road one but would therefore be more expensive,
"Lionel Road is still our number one objective and main target but the process on this project as slow" the Chairman added.
As plans for the new stadium have only just been announced it's not quite time to say goodbye to Griffin Park just yet but over the next couple of months backroom staff will be exploring any otehr potential opertunites to build a new home for Brentford on.
