As the search for funds goes on this week, asearch which Brian Burgees yesterday described as 'frustrating', the Bees recieved yet more bad luck however on a more personal note this time.
Stuart Nelson missed on on the 'powerade' player of the month award to Phil Jevons yesterday, the Brentford keeper played well throughout October and was looking to pick up his first honour as the Bees goalkeeper.
On a better note however Brentford's youth team showed the senior side the way forward as they delivered a crushing 4-1 victory over Worthing in the youth FA Cup last night.
Several players who featured in Pre-Season and first team action this year were part of the squad including Karleigh Osborne, Darius Charles and Charlie Ide.
Ide himself picked up a bace of goals, Osbourne neted one and the othr came from central midfielder Ross Montague.
After a throughly deserved victory Brentford will now face Aldershot Town of Buntingford in the 2nd round, the game to be staged at Griffin Park.
