Brentford manager Terry Butcher admitted to supporters that the future of striker Jo Kuffour is 'out of his hands' after commenting that the player turned down a move to Huddersfield Town last week.
Peter Jackson the manager of the Terriers said that Kuffour's agent told him he client was looking for a move to the Championship and with a contract offer on the table from the bees Butcher commented that Jo may not want to play in League Two next season for his own career despite Brentford's best efforts.
Bucther announced last week that he had given Kuffour 'the best offer' that the clubs finances would allow and this morning said,
"We would like to give Brentford fans Jo Kuffour at the start of next season, but it is up to Jo now."
"I don't know if he will be our player in August, but we have given him a good option. It is right to push the boat out because he is an exciting player."
