Captain Rick to return soon

After the injury to Oli Skulason Brentford are in desperate need of a high class central midfielder and they are set to recieved a boost this week as Captain Ricky Newman's knee injury appears to be less severe that first thought,

"Ricky's knee has settled down after the two weeks rest"

The 35 year old is yet to play a competetive game after his pre season injury and Allen revealed that he is set to return to action next week,

"I am hoping that he will be able to start training again next week"
