Darius Charles agrees new deal

Speaking to the press ahead of the Nottingham Forest game, a buyant Martin Allen declared that he had signed a member of the sucessful Brentford youth team to a new longer term contract.

Darius Charles who has featured several of the Bees recent League games as a sub has done enough to win himself a one year professional contract at the club.

With the potential option of an extra year Allen was pleased that one of his young players looks set to make the grade,

"He has done very well and been at Brentford since he was ten years old, he can play left back, left side of midfield or left central back"

"He still has a great deal of work to do for what is now the biggest step, getting into the first team squad and then of course ultimately the first team starting eleven. But I'm sure the hard work will not faze him"
