Being a Brentford fan Greg Dyke is sure to have seen his fair share of ups and downs. Becoming chairman in January, living out a life long dream and then seeing it snatched away by playoff defeat on Sunday must have seemed very familiar to the chairman.
"I'm sure many people left Griffin Park on Sunday disapointed that the excitement and high standards that has been generated throughout the past season had not achieved the rewards they deserved," he said.
"But out of that comes continued commitment to continue building on the firm foundations that have been put in place over the past few seasons."
He did however confirm that there will be changes in the Summer,
"While no doubt players will be leaving in the summer, within the financial restraints of the club there will be others joining the club to strengthen the squad in the coming weeks."
In a short message to the official website he also left supporters with an uplifting message saying,
"the great thing about football is that no matter how disapointed you are at the end of a long season, there is always a new season coming and we can all get excited all over again. So now is the time to pick ourseves up and plan for promotion next season. Come on you Bees."
