After seeing his side win for the second week in a row, Brentford manager Scott Fitzgerald was needless to say delighted with his teams efforts in their battle against relegation.
Having now gone three games unbeaten after a disasterous run which saw them rooted to the bottom of the table, the bees are now five points from safety and their fans now have real hope of avoiding the drop.
A solitary goal from Jo Kuffour gave Brentford the win yesterday and his manager praised the link up between Kuffour and Neil Shipperley,
"They're looking very good together but they will only get better and better. Jo is the most talented footballer at this club and Neil's experience, guile and know-how are rubbing off on everyone."
Having been thrown a massive lifeline in their League One survival bid, the manager refused to be disheartened by the clubs current position and instead talking up the bees chances,
"Confidence plays a big part and the players are starting to believe in themselves. I'm not setting any points tally though because we can't worry about other teams down there. We just need to worry about ourselves."
