Fitzgerald ready for first test

With everything in place for new manager Scott Fitzgerald to take control of his first game in 'official' charge of Brentford, things seemed lively in the Brentford camp this morning as first the players and then the press were informed of the boards decision to succeed Leroy Rosenior with the former youth team manager.

"I'm raring to go"

"In truth we're struggling a bit with a few illnesses and a few knocks. But thats the way it is and with the size of the squad at the moment those who are asked to step up have a great oppertunity to establish themselves"

The manager admitted that he had specific plans ahead of the game,

"As before when I was caretaker I'm taking match preparation very seriously. We had a friendly earlier this week to prepare us and we'll be doing work on fitness and set pieces before the game"
