Brentford manager Scott Fitzgerald gave his comments to the press this morning following the clubs 0-0 draw with Carlisle at Griffin Park.

The game was evenly poised in the first half but Brentford will feel slightly disapointed that they could not capitalise on chances they created in the second half. Scott Fitzgerald however was pleased with his sides efforts,

"I'm starting to sound like a broken record," said Fitzgerald,

"We had chances but so did they. Overall I think we deserved a point but if things would have gone a little bit more our way we could have taken all three."

"Obviously a win would be a massive boost but I still feel confident."

Having signed Neil Shipperley during the week, the boss was pleased with the contribution of his new signing,

"Neil did very well. He proved why he is so highly related and why we're so happy to have him here."

The boss continued,

"His experience can be invaluable to the young players in this squad."
