Following his sides 0-0 draw with Carlisle this weekend, Scott Fitzgerald, in his post match interview confirmed that he still believes Brentford have what it takes to stay in League One this season.

The point earnt in the Griffin Park draw did little to aid the clubs position and the manager is well aware that the Bees need to start picking up thre points, and soon,

"We need to start stringing a succession of good results together. One sparadic draw or victory will not to us any good in the long term."

"Beyond points we need effort, quality and attitude, what every manager down there is saying to his side at the moment."

"Confidence is key, I felt at time we lacked a bit times."

Fitzgerald was happy however with the clubs first clean sheet under him,

"You've got to build from the back, and to get out first clean sheet since I took over - as a former defender myself - I'm pleased with. That's the major positive we can take from today."

He was realistic in saying however,

"But we are going to need more than that. A hell of a lot more than that."
