Hargreaves deal is completed

Hargreaves thanked everyone at Griffin Park for the years work they did with him

As Martin Allen spoke about yesterday midfielder Chris Hargreaves finally completed his move to Oxford today signing a two year deal with the club, ending his one year spell at Brentford which saw him make limited appearances due to injury.

The midfielder had completed a medical at the club yesterday and today as unvailed at the clubs latest signing.

The manager said,

"Im pleased to have Chris on board, his experience will be invaluable"

The man himself was said to be delighted to have been given a final chance after all the club changes he has made throughout his career and confirmed that he is looking to establish himself in the first team,

"I'm throughly looking forward to it, I'm an up and at 'em kind of player, i relish the challenge of football at this level"

"I know I havent played my best over the last couple of seasons but I know what I'm capable of and so does the manager"

The midfielder concluded by saying,

"I would like to thank Brentford for the wonderful time I had there, I had an oppertunity to stay there but I believe that I can help thuis club achieve stability, I'll certainly give it my best shot thats for sure"
