Brentford's rookie reserve goalkeeper, Alan Julian, has been put on standby for Northern Ireland's U21 clash against their Spanish counterparts, due to take place at Mourneview Park in Lurgan, on Tuesday 10 June.
The 20-year-old understudy to regular custodian and the Bee Hive player of the season Paul Smith, impressed when making his full debut in the 1-0 LDV Vans away success at Plymouth Argyle last November.
Julian who has already represented his country at U18's and U19's, went on to make a further three first team appearances for Brentford during the remainder of the campaign, the last coming in the 1-0 Nationwide Second Division defeat at Barnsley in the penultimate game of the season.
The Bee Hive congratulates Alan on his call up and is sure more international recognition will follow in the future.
