Richard Lee believes Brentford can surprise their npower League One rivals and secure promotion this season. The 27-year-old goalkeeper signed from Championship outfit Watford in the summer and was between the sticks during the Bees' 3-2 friendly defeat to non-league Staines Town on Friday evening. Despite this, Lee - speaking at the launch of his GKIcon venture - remained positive about Brentford's promotion credentials and foresaw a quick personal return to the second tier. "On a club level the ambition has to be promotion and on a personal level to rack up a few games," he told Press Association Sport. "I've set my goals high, I want to play in as many games as I can and be a major cog in Brentford doing very well. "I think if you look at the last couple of seasons there has been a progression, firstly from League Two to League One and then a good position there last season. "We've added a few good lads, some good characters to the squad and I think we will be strong. I've only been here a few weeks so far but it has been enjoyable, there's a good atmosphere around the place and I think it all bodes well."
