With the departures over over ten players from the 2005/06 Brentford squad, Leroy Rosenior it appears is keen, rather sensibly, to add to his currently playing staff.

With just three players brought in since he took over in June the Brentford manager used pre season friendlies against Bideford and Ilfracombe Town to take a look at some of the players which have interested him in the transfer market.

With the bees winning the first game against Ilfracombe 6-0 and drawing the second 0-0 the boss got at least 90 minutes scouting time. And he is throughly impressed with what he has seen,

"It's obviously difficult to keep things going with all the player departures but Ive been pleased with the way the three games have gone so far." said Rosenior

"No deals have been struck as yet but I have a wonderful group of players to look at and in the end whether they sign of not they have done themselves no harm by putting in these performances."

The two games have featured varied squads including, John Mousinho who is still discussing terms over a permenant deal with the club, Nathan Abbey, Thomas Pinault, Trevor Robinson, Michael Standing and Dave Lawrence. Paul Brooker also played for the team and is believed to be in discussons to resign having found no club since his free transfer.
