Speedy attacking midfielder, Mark Williams, released by Brentford manager Wally Downes at the end of April, has signed for Nationwide Conference club, Barnet.
The 21-year-old Williams, who had been a product of the Bees' youth squad, made 79 league appearances for Brentford after making his debut against Millwall in October 2000.
However, last season Williams often found himself on the fringes of the first team and started on just four occasions, although he did also make a staggering 18 substitute appearances during the 2002/03 campaign, scoring once, at Meadow Lane in the 2-2 draw with Notts County back in August 2002.
Williams' final first team action came against Peterborough United in the last game of the season, after the club had already announced that he would be leaving Griffin Park.
