Suitably calmed down last night after his banishment to the stands Martin Allen seemed as ever to be in a positive mood as he spoke to the fans this morning,
"Needless to say it was a disapoining way to follow up a fantastic performance away to Chesterfield" said Allen
Martin stressed that they were hardly 'popping champagne' last week after the victory at Saltergate, but stressed it was important that his team got back on track as soon as possible, starting at Griffin Park this weekend.
Commenting on last nights game Allen felt that his side did no perform as well as they can and blamed their lack of ability to keep the ball cost them dear,
"For an away team we had an awful lot of pressure but gave the ball away too cheaply. We restircted them to very few scoring oppertunites but never capitalised in the final third of the pitch with any quality."
Despite refusing to comment on his sending off last night Allen did however say,
"I will always stick up for my players and that is simply what I was doing as I felt they were being harsly treated"
He did however add,
"I have watched the game twice now and my concentration and total focus must be on our performance and not of the officials"
