Martin Allen spoke to the media yesterday a delighted boss after seeing his young side revel in the West London son and battle to a 2-1 victory over 2nd placed Hull.
The whole interview is available on the official website but here are some highlights of the managers thoughts,
"The young players did excellent yesterday, I told them in the changing rooms afterwards that to a neutral it would have been impossible to pick out those players making their debut. I would like to thank the whole squad for this season it's been excellent"
"Jay Tabb was amazing, that performance just showed his development throught the season, he's only a kid himself but he really took on the role of playmaker."
"I was also very happy for thos players who'd come back from injury, Myers and Lawrence included, they've definetely made my job selecting a team for next thursday more difficult"
"In my heart I honestly believed that we could challenge for the playoffs well this season even though the pundits made us relegation favourites, we have a great spirit in this football club and despite all the setbacks and problems that have been placed in front of us, we've made it, but i've told the players, the job is only 1/3 done, first we get to Cardiff and from there anything can happen"
"Of course we are underdogs, Wednesday are a massive club with great tradition, we are a small hopefully growing force, their place will be packed on Thursday but I hope my players will be able to rise to the occasion as they have done so many times this year, our fans will also make themselves heard and I just ant to make sure the result we get there gives the crowd something to shout about"
