Brentford did not previously have a chief exec however the chairman had announced last month that he would be seaking to increase the size of the board.
Obviously we have had no words from the new man but we understand that he will be taking up his day to day office role next monday and will work closely with the backroom staff and other board members within the football club.
He will be using notes from the recent griffin Park Q and A's to form the basis of his work whilst 'in office', issues such as improvements to facilities and the impending ground updates are sure to come into his mind in the near future.
Chairman Eddie Rodgers tells us that there is much hard work to be done but he believes Andy was the outstanding candidate who applied and his leadership skills and energy will be channeled into working together with everyone, he hopes that his new appointment will help to move the club forwards.
