Kevin O'Connor paid tribute to the Brentford fans who turned out in force for his testimonial match against Fulham on Wednesday night. In excess of 4,000 supporters flocked to Griffin Park to see the match organised for O'Connor, who has made made more than 400 appearances for the club. The Bees were beaten 5-0 on the night by their Premiership neighbours, but O'Connor was pleased with the workout the squad got. "I'm delighted 4,000 people turned up to support the game," he told the club's official website. "I'm disappointed with the result but they are quality opposition. "We are one of the fittest teams in the league and the strength in depth in the squad is better than last year. We are making some good acquisitions."
